Let’s Make Hockey History Together!

BRINGING THE NHL HOME TO HOUSTON - A LEGACY YOU CAN HELP BUILD

The Woodlands SlapShot, LLC’s mission is to creatively facilitate an NHL franchise in the city of Houston with the community and youth in mind. Our diverse WSS team consists of an 18-year veteran of the NHL who is well-recognized in the hockey community, having access to NHL leadership. We have an entrepreneur, local business owner with a hockey background, a director of community and youth hockey programs who has vast experience in youth hockey development and a licensed architect to round off the team to oversee the design and building of the newly planned NHL practice arena. The facility will accommodate an AHL team, (2) ice pads, entertainment center that seats 7,000 to 10,000, featured in The Woodlands, TX. The NHL team will play all home games in the city of Houston.

The goal for WSS is to coordinate with and unite; a major investor (whom we have had a successful meeting with), a minor investor (whom we have had several positive meetings with), leadership of the National Hockey League (who have expressed great interest) to develop the practice arena in The Woodlands, TX.

The Woodlands SlapShot arena project is actively moving forward, with multiple strategic paths under consideration. If an NHL franchise is awarded, it is expected that the NHL would assume operational control of the facility, with WSS retaining an equity stake in the NHL franchise. Alternatively, the Public-Private Partnership (P3) structure we are working on with the City of Shenandoah would allow WSS to maintain majority control of the arena through an expanded friends and family investment round that is now open to public participation.

It is important to note that it is too early to determine the exact final structure of the project or franchise partnership. The business plan is designed to evolve and branch into several directions as discussions and development progress. The flexibility of the model is a strength— allowing for adaptation based on how each stakeholder group, investment opportunity, and league-level decision aligns in the coming months.

RISK FACTOR

AN INVESTMENT IN THE COMPANY IS HIGHLY SPECULATIVE AND INVOLVES A SIGNIFIGANT DEGREE OF RISK.

WSS is offering a friends and family fund raising round of $10,000 for each unit. We look to raise money that will be used for preliminary planning, design drawings and renderings of the Woodlands Facility, preparation of the Business Plan and Real Estate Offering Memorandum to be presented to the investors. Including the potential names and logos of the teams to be used by the investment groups, NHL, real estate developer and potential sponsors such as municipalities, healthcare community, local ISDs, and interested tenants of the retail and restaurant spaces.

The goal is to raise $120M that will be used to design and build the home of the AHL franchise and practice facility for the NHL franchise. The intent is to merge WSS and the NHL franchise, pending how this deal ultimately gets structured. The units are transferable and may be sold at any time.

WSS will assemble a scouting staff from all levels of hockey. WSS will also work with the NHL, AHL, NHLPA, and all personnel carrying out hockey operations, medical team relationships, youth and community program outreach, pre-season ticket drives, and set up fan and booster clubs as the franchise sets up with the full-time positions.
